Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum along with business entrepreneur Michael Hirtenstein founded EMM Group in 2006 and have since built it into one of New York’s most successful and multi-faceted hospitality management companies. Within the company framework exist several divisions devoted to restaurant and nightlife operations, marketing and event production, promotions and lifestyle management.  Most recently, EMM Group has launched The General, a Modern Asian-inspired restaurant, FINALE, its largest New York nightlife venture to date and the Jazz Room at The General, an extension of the restaurant offering full dinner and cocktail menus along with authentic, live jazz — all located within a 20,000 square foot property at 199 Bowery on the Lower East Side.

Immediately preceding these openings, EMM Group launched outposts of premiere New York brands CATCH and SL inside The James Royal Palm in South Beach.
Within its first four years, EMM Group established four successful venues: Abe & Arthur’s, SL, Tenjune and The Chandelier Room. In the summer and fall of 2011 they added SL East, the Hamptons outpost of its Meatpacking flagship nightclub, as well as two new restaurant venues: the globally influenced, seafood-centric CATCH and Lexington Brass, a New-American bistro in the lobby level of a luxury Hyatt in midtown Manhattan.

In the summer of 2012, EMM Group partnered into HQ Nightclub and The Social at Revel in Atlantic City. EMM Group also owns The Estate, a privately owned property in Sag Harbor for events, and Four Hundred, a members-only lifestyle management service.
